It has come to our attention (at least most of us) that the westboro baptist church (I don’t capitalize because the public education system taught me “Capitalize if it’s an important name” and WBC is indeed not important) has wanted more attention with their hateful mindset. They’ve decided to make the announcement that they will protest the funerals of the children that were killed this past week in Newton, Connecticut. After some speculation on this it was confirmed, and people outraged at this. People have started a petition to get the right people (Such as Obama) to pass a statement that declares WBC as a hateful group, which would ultimately give the law the power to somewhat eradicate the kind of acts that WBC does. Although this has not happened yet (and it should) some organizations have decided to take matters into their own hands. The group Anonymous made a public message as to what they think of the WBC’s decision to go to these funerals and protest…but they didn’t do it in regular fashion with a written statement…or even a video actually.
Over the weekend after word got out about what WBC’s new plans were, Anonymous breached into the WBC website (Godhatesfags.com) and put this message on there along with their logo and slogan

Greetings Westboro Baptist Church,
If you’re reading this, it means that Anonymous has lost it’s patience with you, likely because you’ve threatened us again after we denied you a war.
your recent antics to gain media attention for yourself were found to be laughable. In response to your rather poorly-written “bring it” letter, wherein you tried to goad Anonymous into giving you yet more attention by calling us “crybaby hackers”, we wrote, sincerely, a press release explaining clearly the hoax behind the initial declaration of war against your church.
We had thought this latest release would be enough to make you realize that we have no interest in going to war with you. Anonymous is hard at work with ongoing operations such as those involving Bahrain, Libya, and Iran, not to mention we are working tirelessly to maintain coverage of all our HBGary leaks for the public to enjoy.
Your continued biting of the Anonymous hand, however, has earned you a swift and emotionless bitchslap, in the form of this very message. Despite having had the capability to hack your sites previously, we chose not to and instead responded maturely to your threats, but you have no respected this
For this unremitting display of overzealousness, we award you no points. Take this defacement as a simple warning: go away. The world (including Anonymous) disagrees with your hateful messages, but you have the right to voice them. This does not mean you can jump onto Anonymous for attention
God hates fags: assumption. Anonymous hates leeches: fact.
We are Anonymous.
We are legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
Expect us – always.

So that was their message that was left on the WBC website. This leaves with a lot of people pointing fingers at Anonymous saying that what they did was wrong, but I’m here to tell you why it wasn’t wrong in any way. Anonymous has been at a feud with WBC for quite sometime now, WBC falsely accused Anonymous of hacking their website before and in the end it was just WBC looking for media attention. This then turned into WBC calling out Anonymous and trying to get them to retaliate in a way that would make headlines, but Anonymous said several times that they are not going to waste their time with WBC and they’re going to ignore them. This has gone on for a year now or even longer. Now that Westboro is planning to do something so condemning, Anonymous did a simple task of putting their message on the WBC hateful URL (even the URL is hateful) and it was only like this for a short time. There message was no vulgar in anyway (bitchslap is not vulgar) and they made it clear as to why they did what they did.
Lets talk about Westboro Baptist Church for a little bit though. If you don’t know who WBC is then I can sum it up like this…it’s a church of about 50 members, and of those 50 members, only 3 are not among the Phelps family. The Phelps family is basically the WBC entirely. What are they about? Well from what I’ve said you can guess that they are against gays, but they say they follow the word of God, and that God is telling them to do these things. What things exactly? Well for a while now they’ve been going to fallen soldiers funerals, standing outside of them with signs like “God Hates Fags” “God kills soldiers because of fags” along with telling people that walk by that Americas soldiers are dying because God is punishing them of the sin of gay in America. They literally do this all the time. Do you see where I’m going with this? If not well then I’ll explain anyway. The WBC is planning on going to Newton, CT to protest the children’s funerals to say that those children died because of gay people.
What do you think about Anonymous posting their message on the WBC website now? Regardless though, looking at it from a logical standpoint, the WBC website shouldn’t exist, nor should the church, or people with that kind of thought process. Stay tuned for my Podcast on my thoughts about The WBC because I have a lot to say about them, and I hope they hear my words. That’s all for now guys, and Anonymous, thanks for doing this.
